The ground rules for using Tak.

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Tak or post listings.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering and posting.
• You may not use Tak for any unlawful or unauthorized purposes.

• You are solely responsible for the content, accuracy, and legality of any listing you post on Tak.
• Listings must not contain fraudulent, misleading, or illegal content. We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these terms without notice.
• By posting a listing, you grant Tak a non-exclusive licence to display your content (text, images) on the platform for the duration of the listing.
• Tak is a platform connecting buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any transaction between users and do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed.

• Certain listings require a publishing fee. Fees are displayed before you confirm payment.
• Payments are processed securely by PayHere. By making a payment, you agree to PayHere's terms of service.
• All prices are displayed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and are inclusive of applicable charges.
• We reserve the right to change our fee structure at any time, with notice to users.

You may not use Tak to:

• Post listings for illegal goods or services.
• Engage in fraud, misrepresentation, or deceptive practices.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Scrape, crawl, or collect data from the platform without permission.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the platform.

All content and materials on Tak, including text, logos, and graphics, are the property of Apex Platforms (Pvt) Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any content from Tak without prior written consent.

• Tak provides a platform for classified advertising only. We do not inspect, verify, or guarantee any listings, products, services, or transactions.
• In no event shall Tak, Apex Platforms (Pvt) Ltd, or its affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any transaction with another user.
• Users transact at their own risk. We strongly encourage following the safety tips on our Stay Safe page.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and remove your listings if you violate these terms or engage in activity that is harmful to the platform or other users.

Organization pages on Tak are assigned a unique URL (slug) based on the name you choose during registration. You agree that:

• You will not register organization names that you do not have a legitimate connection to, including the names of other businesses, brands, or public figures.
• Organization slugs and names must not be registered in bad faith for the purpose of reselling, blocking, or impersonating another entity.
• Tak reserves the right to reclaim, reassign, or remove any organization slug at its sole discretion — including but not limited to cases of trademark infringement, brand impersonation, inactivity (no ads or activity for 60 or more days), or upon verified request from the rightful owner of a business name.
• Verified organizations (indicated by a verified badge) have been reviewed by Tak. Unverified organizations have not been confirmed and should not be assumed to represent any particular business.
• In cases where two or more businesses have similar or identical names, disputes will be resolved at Tak's discretion based on: (a) registration date on the platform, (b) verified business registration (BR number), (c) active use of the organization page, and (d) geographic distinctiveness. Where both parties are legitimate, Tak may require location-based differentiation in the organization slug (e.g. "city-motors-colombo" and "city-motors-kandy").

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of Tak after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
